Description

5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1A (5-HT-1A) is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of 5-HT-1A is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylate cyclase activity.

5HT1A staining in rat brain. Paraffin-embedded rat brain tissue is stained with 5-HT-1A Antibody (Cat. No. 251494) used at 1:200 dilution ON at 4°C. Tissue is fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and antigen retrieval protocol consists in boiling for 15 min in 0.01M citrate buffer, pH6.0.
