Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Full-time (Ref #ABT0721)
Location: Escondido, California
This individual is responsible for administrative tasks in the main office by answering the main phone line and customer emails. The Administrative Assistant will also process customer orders into Accounting software and manage product shipping including packaging and airwaybill preparation. She/He will help in supporting the company staff for daily operations tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Answering main phone, directing and screening calls; client email processing, receiving incoming shipments; executive support; office supply management; taking and entering orders, preparing invoices, following up on account receivables; shipping supply management, packaging and shipping outgoing orders.
Position Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma; Experience: Entry-level to 2-yr experience as receptionist or administrative assistant. Biotech or research institute office experience a plus.
Initiative: The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent follow through and a willingness to make efforts necessary to complete a task.
Skills: Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is mandatory. Knowledge in Accounting is desired (QuickBooks). Hands-on experience with shipping goods to US and overseas via FedEx website is a plus. Candidate must have excellent telephone and computer skills and a professional and friendly demeanor to be part of a motivated team operating a Life Sciences reagent biotech company.
